Bijal Maniar, CPA

Bijal is a Certified Public Accountant and Tax Partner at Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. She was born and raised in India, where she earned her Bachelor of Commerce at Gujarat University. In 1999, she moved to Chicago, IL, and worked as a Senior Accountant for the City of McHenry, IL. Bijal relocated to El Paso in 2003 and established a private bookkeeping practice, serving clients in the food service, franchise, jewelry, and wholesale furniture industries. In 2012, she transitioned to a local corporation as the Assistant Controller.

Bijal joined Lauterbach, Borschow & Co. in 2016 as part of the audit and assurance team. As an Audit Associate, she worked on employee benefit plan audits and gained valuable experience auditing clients in the financial institutions, manufacturing, nonprofit, and transportation industries. In 2018, she transitioned to the tax team as a Tax Associate. She advanced steadily through leadership roles, being promoted to Senior Tax Associate in 2019, Tax Supervisor in 2020, Tax Manager in 2022, and Senior Tax Manager in 2024, before becoming Tax Partner in October 2025.

Since joining the tax practice, Bijal has continued working with clients in the food service and nonprofit industries, while also building extensive experience with start-ups and clients in the healthcare and real estate sectors.

Bijal earned her Master of Accountancy degree at The University of Texas at El Paso, where she was a member of the honor societies Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi. She has also been the recipient of the Newton D. Becker Scholarship.
