Biography
Alva Saravia is a Human Resources Clerk at Lauterbach, Borschow & Co., where she collaborates closely with the HR Director on a variety of key functions, including recruiting, payroll processing, employee data changes, and onboarding. With a strong foundation in HR and a commitment to continual learning, Alva plays an essential role in supporting the firm’s people operations.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Alva earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Development with a minor in Psychology from the University of Houston in May 2021. Before relocating to El Paso in 2024 after getting married, she gained nearly three years of HR experience in the oil and gas industry. Outside of work, Alva enjoys trying new restaurants with coworkers, traveling around New Mexico and Arizona, doing arts and crafts, and visiting family in Houston. She values learning something new each day to support her growth in HR.
